National Snow & Ice Data Center (NSIDC) is a part of CIRES at the University of Colorado Boulder – its diverse groups of experts have provided research and data management on the cryosphere for nearly 50 years (since 1976).
NSDIC is home for a variety of cryosphere-related data in 20+ data collections, divided by geophysical measurements (Frozen ground, Glaciers, Ice sheets, Ice shelves, Sea ice, Snow, and Soil moisture) and by collection method (Airborne, Ground-based, and Satellite).
